Application:

We welcome PhD students and researchers of all disciplines who want to learn about interdisciplinarity and transitions, giving priority to research that addresses the topic of the summer school.

To submit your application, please fill in the form below uploading a short presentation [max 300 words] and an abstract of your research project [max 500 words, excluded bibliography].

Selected candidates will be notified by 28/04/25 and will then proceed with the registration and payment.

Fees:
  • 250 EUR (early bird registration within May 26) 
  • 300 EUR (full fee)
Fees do not include accommodation and travel.
 
ESREA will award 4 bursaries to cover expenses up to 400 EUR to PhD students who are ESREA’s associates or whose university is an institutional member.
To apply for the bursary, there will be a notification after acceptance.

    Requirements

    In addition to applicant quality, the Organizing Committee will consider a number of features including: the coherence of the motivation with the aim and scope of the school, the potential benefit for the student’s research, the timeliness for the development of the student’s career. Preference will be given to applicants not participating onsite in the previous edition (2022) of the school.

    The school is especially addressed to doctoral students and young postdoctoral scholars. A very limited number of senior students (e.g., assistant/associate/full professors) can be admitted, if they provide strong and convincing motivation in their application letter.
